PUBLIC HOUSING APARTMENTS ARE SMOKE-FREE
DETERMINATION OF APPLICANT QUALIFICATION
1. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PAST HISTORY OF MEETING FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS ESPECIALLY RENT. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE NO MORE THAN PREVIOUS NON-PAYMENT PROCEDURE IN HOUSING COURT DURING THE PAST YEARS.
2. AN APPLICANT MUST NOT HAVE A RECORD OF DISTURBANCE OF NEIGHBORS OR DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY AT PRIOR RESIDENCES WHICH MAY ADVERSELY AFFECT THE HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE OF OTHER RESIDENTS OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APARTMENT OR COMMUNITY.
3. APPLICANT MUST BE CAPABLE OF INDEPENDENT LIVING ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL RESIDENTS.
4. APPLICANTS MUST DEMOSTRATE SAFE, CLEAN AND SATISFACTORY HOUSEKEEPING HABITS IN THE EVENT OF SITE STAFF’S VISIT HIS/HER CURRENT DWELLING.
5. APPLICANTS MUST NOT HAVE INVOLVEMENT IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ON THE PART OF ANY APPLICANT HOUSEHOLD MEMBER WHICH ADVERSELY AFFECT THE HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE OF OTHER RESIDENTS WITHIN 3 YEARS AND 5 YEARS FOR DRUG RELATED CONVICTIONS.
6. APPLICANTS MUST NOT HAVE A RECORD OF EVICTION FROM HOUSING OR TERMINATION FROM ASSISTED RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS.
7. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS TO COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF THE PROPERTY’S LEASE AND COMMUNITY POLICIES
8. APPLICANTS MUST NOT HAVE MISREPRESENTATION OF ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO ELIGIBILITY, ALLOWANCES, HOUSEHOLD COMPOSITION, OR RENT.
9. APPLICANTS MUST NOT BE A LIFETIME REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER.
10. APPLICANTS INCOME MUST NOT EXCEED THE ALLOWABLE LIMIT.
11. APPLICANT MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.
OTHER: NO OUTSTANDING UTILITY BILLS OR MONEY OWED TO ANY LANDLORD OR HOUSING AGENCY
